For most business accounts you can leave your Wise Business account, and transfer it to another team member at any time.
If your business is registered in Japan, Hong Kong, or Singapore, please check the exceptions below for the procedure.
How to change ownership
You can only change ownership on the web:
Go on your Business name in the top right
Select Team — if you don't have any other team members on your account, select Add a team member and invite someone via their email address
Select your personal name

From your list of team members, choose the new owner and Continue

What happens once I transfer ownership?
Once you transfer ownership of an account, your access is fully cancelled. This means, you can’t log in anymore, and your business Wise cards will be deleted.
You can be invited again at any time.
If the current account owner isn't available to transfer ownership
If the current owner is not available to transfer ownership of the business account, a business director needs to contact us and request the change.
We’ll need the following information from a director:
an official document showing that you’re a director e.g. a registration document
ID for the director and a selfie with ID
an email address for the new owner
The new owner will need to have a personal Wise account, with a verified ID and 2-step verification enabled.
If the future owner does not have a Wise account, they'll need to open one and complete verification before we can transfer the business to them.
