Creating a payment request is free and easy with Wise. Once payments are completed, you’ll receive your money directly into the Wise balance of the currency you requested.
To request money you'll need to have at least one set of account details open.
There are a few ways to request money:
You can create a payment link to share with anyone — such as your clients, family or friends, so they can send you money.
Personal account holders can request money from other Wise users, and we'll notify them about your request via email or a push notification. You'll need to sync your contacts to receive from friends on Wise.
Business account holders can choose how to be paid — straight from your customer’s Wise account, by bank transfer, or by card. Learn more about getting paid by card
Keep in mind:
Requests are only valid for 30 calendar days
If your sender has a Wise account, you can request money in any currency — as long as you have at least one set of account details open.
If they don’t have a Wise account, you can only request money from them in a currency you have account details for.
Once the money has been deposited to your balance, you can instantly convert it to other currencies

How does it work?
Here are some answers to common questions about requesting money.
How do I check the status of my payment requests?
Go to Payments, then click on Payment requests. You’ll be able to see all of your active and inactive payment requests.
A pending request that you haven't paid or declined will remain in your account activity for 30 days as a Task on the top of the Home page.
How do I know if someone sent me a request?
If you don't have Wise and someone shared a link with you, you'll see the amount, currency and bank details you'll need to send money to. Never pay a request from a contact that you don’t recognise.
If the request was sent directly to your Wise account, you'll receive a push notification and/or email, depending on your notification settings.
Can I block someone who is requesting money from me?
No, but you can turn off your profile visibility on Wise.

How do reusable payment/single payment links work?
Only business payment links can be reusable — personal account payment links can only be single use.
Single use payment links can only receive one payment and will be automatically closed once a payment is received.
Reusable payment links:
can receive multiple payments and you'll need to close them if you want to stop receiving payments
can't be reopened once they've been closed
Are there any fees or limits?
There are no fees for requesting or receiving money, with the exception of receiving USD domestic or Swift wires or CAD Swift payments. Learn more about what it costs to receive money.
There are no limits for how much you can receive in your balances right now, with the exception of USD and SGD.
Quick tip: never pay a request from a contact that you don’t recognise. Just reject the request and it'll disappear from your account.
Wise will never request a payment from you through this feature.
