In most cases, the ATM provider will know that there was an error, and the money will automatically be returned to your balance within a few minutes.
But, here’s what you can do if you tried to withdraw cash from an ATM, and it didn’t give you your money.
Collect as much information as possible
Before leaving the ATM, get receipts, take pictures, and note the transaction date, time, amount ATM code, and the operation number so that you can provide this info when it’s needed.
Contact the ATM provider
Every ATM has a contact number. Call them and tell them what happened along with providing the transaction and ATM details.
Check your Wise account activity
You can check on app or web to see if the withdrawal is marked as pending or completed.
If it’s pending the money should automatically return to your account in 7 days.
If it’s completed and the ATM provider wasn't able to help, submit a dispute here so we can look into it for you.
