Who can I send NZD to?
You can send NZD to any individual or business bank account in New Zealand.
What information do I need about my recipient?
You’ll need their full name and 15–16 digit bank account number. This is made up of a 2-digit bank code, 4-digit branch code, 7-digit account number and 2–3 digit suffix.
How much can I send?
You can send up to 2 million NZD per transfer.
How long does it usually take for the money to arrive?
Once we receive and convert your money, it usually takes 0–1 working days to arrive in your recipient’s bank account. Conversion can take up to 2 working days.

How can I pay for my transfer from NZD?
There are 4 ways to send money from NZD:
How much can I send?
You can send up to 2.2 million NZD by bank transfer, although your bank might not let you send so much in one go. You can also send up to 5000 NZD by POLi, but your own bank limits might apply.
You can send up to 10,000 NZD by card.
Where can I send from?
You can only send NZD to Wise from banks within New Zealand. You can’t send NZD by Swift.
How long does it usually take for the money to arrive?
It usually takes 0–2 working days for your money to get to us, depending on how you pay for your transfer. Then, we convert it and send it out. Conversion can take up to 2 working days.

I’ve cancelled my payment, how long will my refund take?
We’ll let you know when we’ve refunded your money. The time it takes for you to get your refund depends on how you paid,
Card payments take 2–10 working days
POLi payments take 1–2 working days
Bank transfers take 1–2 working days
Make sure to wait until the above time frame has passed before getting in touch about a refund — we’re not able to speed up the process.
