Sending to HUF
Who can I send HUF to?
You can send HUF to any bank account in Hungary.
What information do I need about my recipient?
You’ll need their full name and bank account number. In Hungary, this is either:
a code called an IBAN, usually 28 characters long, containing a mix of letters and numbers, and starting with HU
a local account number consisting of 24 digits
How much can I send?
You can send up to 300 million HUF per transfer.
How long does it usually take for the money to arrive?
Once Wise receives and converts your money, it usually takes 1 working day to arrive in your recipient’s bank account. Conversion can take up to 2 working days.

Sending from HUF
How much can I send?
You can send up to 300 million HUF per transfer, depending on how you pay. If you pay by card, for example, the limit is lower — but you’ll only see the option to pay by card if you’re sending less than the limit.
Where can I send from?
You can only send HUF to Wise from banks within Hungary. You can’t send HUF by Swift.
How long does it usually take for the money to arrive?
It usually takes 1 working day for your money to get to Wise, depending on how you pay for your transfer. Then, we convert it and send it out. Conversion can take up to 2 working days.

I’ve cancelled my payment, how long will my refund take?
We’ll let you know when we’ve refunded your money. The time it takes for you to get your refund depends on how you paid,
Bank transfers take up to 1 working day
Card payments take 2–10 working days
Make sure to wait until the above time frame has passed before getting in touch about a refund — we’re not able to speed up the process.
Can I send a Hungarian Request-to-Pay?
At the moment we don't offer the ability to send request-to-pay to other banks, but you can accept requests to pay if you have HUF balance details.

Can I pay by QR code (Qvik)?
Yes. You can use your Wise account to pay using QR codes in Hungary if you have a HUF balance. Simply scan the QR code with your camera or navigate to Cards tab in your Wise app to use the Pay with QR code feature.
