We're changing your AUD account details

Wise is now a direct member in the Australian payment systems, so your local AUD account details are changing. We want to make sure you get AUD payments faster and more easily. Here's a guide on what's changing for you.

You can find your new account details with the BSB code 774001 under your AUD balance.

What do I need to do?

There are a few things you'll need to prepare to make sure you get payments into your new account:

  1. Share your new details with any friends or businesses that send you money. You can find the list of recent payers by going to your AUD balance and filtering for Money in. 

  2. Change any invoicing templates you might have, to reflect the new AUD details.  

  3. Update the details on any e-commerce or payment platforms you might receive money from, like Shopify, Stripe, Amazon. Check any other services where you linked your account details, like your health insurance payouts. 

  4. Use your correct details if you add money to Wise, or pay for your Wise transfers, from your bank account.

  5. Update your Direct Debits after 1 March 2024. Your old account number still works.

How do I use my new account details? 

Your new details are already active. If you don't see your new details yet, don't worry — we'll update them for you, and you don't need to do anything in the meantime.

You can receive domestic payments and link your account to other payment service providers.

What happens to my old account details?

Your old AUD account details with the BSB code 802985 will continue to work until 10 September, 2024. After that,

  • any payments sent to these details will automatically be refunded to the sender

  • any Direct Debits will be cancelled and the merchant won’t receive the payment
